Part of the Women and Infants Research Foundation mission is to promote high quality research and to foster new researchers. One way in which the Foundation seeks to do this is to offer funding through Capacity Building Grants.

The Capacity Building Grants are part of a wider strategy designed to nurture and develop promising researchers in line with the Women and Infants Research Foundation (WIRF) mission.

The grants provide flexible support to allow investigators to develop their capacity to assist them in attaining a level of productivity and capability sufficient to attract nationally competitive grant funding.

The Women and Infants Research Foundation (WIRF) invites applications from promising investigators. Each grant is for a maximum of $35,000 per year for 3 years subject to satisfactory performance at yearly reviews.

Preference is given to Grant Applications where at least one member of the research team is integral to the King Edward Memorial Hospital Campus.
